2016/6/23 - PC Rotary Controller!!!111

This is a crazy project I started a while ago, I never actually thought this thing would work, but somehow it does!

After successfully making a rotary controller for Tempest 2000 my Jaguar I thought it would be good to have one for the more excessive PC remake "Typhoon 2001" (free game - get it here)

Typhoon can support Mouse based Analog input, and after toying with all kinds of Mouse mods to make one, I found online that the Arduino Leonardo can emulate a mouse! And so it begins!

The game needs a dial which will operate the mouse Left-Right, and 3 fire buttons which will emulate the mouse buttons

I wanted something as excessive as possible to match the gameplay, So I decided to add 4 superbright LEDs, and a PS2 force-feedback motor

well, after staring at online tutorials and some burnt fingers, and here it is...
The Typhoon2001 controller... It plays Typhoon2001!



Features:
4 corner LEDs animate in order matching dial rotation
Fire button
Jump button, with short LED flash and vibrate
SuperZapper (Smart bomb) button, with Long LED flash and vibrate

I am really amazed by how well it works, Its at least as good as the Jaguar one, and a lot of fun to play with! - Check it out on Youtube

please note, the way your rotary controller works may differ, some work in a sequence of 3 [01 11 10] others have 4 [01 11 10 00]... I'm sure there are others too!
